BIOGRAPHY

Gisele started learning to play violin at 3 years old.  By her early teens she was studying at the Cleveland institute of music with David Updegraff and David Russell.  From there she continued her violin studies at McGill University where she first earned a bachelor of music degree, then an artist diploma in violin performance.  At McGill she studied with Yehonatan Berrick and Richard Roberts while playing with numerous ensembles including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Baroque de Montreal, and the McGill Contemporary Ensemble.

Almost immediately after university Gisele joined the renowned chamber orchestra I Musici De Montreal under the direction of Yuli Turovsky, with whom she toured, recorded, and performed 100+ concerts per year.

Now in the UK, Gisele regularly plays with the Bath Philharmonia, the Bristol Ensmble, and the Westminster Cathedral Orchestra and recently performed the Mendelssohn concerto with both the Shaftesbury Symphony and the Bournemouth Philharmonic Society.

Over the last few years she has been enjoying developing a fruitful collaboration with pianist Colin Howard.  Together they perform a richly diverse repertoire of western music from classical to contemporary.
